system upgrade

I'm going to try to upgrade the e-commerce software for this site today. If it goes smoothly, you shouldn't notice any problems. If it doesn't, the site may be down for a while.
EDIT - Well, that was ugly. Things seem to be running alright now. I installed a new blog module so there may be some more weirdness as I configure it.
We're Back!

OK, we've actually been back for a couple of weeks, so I suppose that we have already been back for a while now. We had a good time at ACRE, even though Las Vegas is not our favorite town. We met a lot of nice people, ate some good food, and even sold some jewelry. We took a detour to see the Grand Canyon on our way back, which was well worth the drive.

We're frantically packing and doing all the last minute tasks for our trip to Las Vegas for the ACRE show. Susan has a bunch of new items for the show, which I'll have to frantically add to the site after we get back. We won't be shipping anything between May 28 and June 8, since we'll be on the road. Now I must go pack socks.

ACRE Las Vegas show and Wholesalecrafts.com

We will be at the American Craft Retailers Expo (ACRE) in Las Vegas from May 31 through June 2nd. We'll be in booth 215. We also have a page on wholesalecrafts.com. Retailers can buy our jewelry through wholesalecrafts.com or through this site. Wholesalecrafts.com requires a free membership for retailers, but you may e-mail us for a visitor's password so you can browse their site. They have about 1300 artist members, so there is a lot to see there.

Susan is working on some new designs using vintage buttons as molds. One of the buttons she is using is this one, which belonged to a robe she had as a child. This button is used as the mold for the rose earrings (which are on the site) and the new rose bracelet (which isn't).
Here are some of the new designs and some old buttons. She's placed some of them over pieces of can to see how they look. The bird shape is well on its way to becoming a pin.

I thought I had all of my ducks in a row for the site opening, but it appears that some of them have wandered off. Looks like the site opening is going to be delayed while I do some duck herding.

Welcome to the new Restart Jewelry site! Susan is at the San Francisco International Gift Fair from Saturday, February 7th through Monday February 9th. She's in both 501 in the Vintage section.
All of our inventory went to the show with her, so I've marked everything on the site as out of stock until she gets back. I'll get the actual, buyable inventory up on the site after the 12th of February.
